Atticus Administration: what its notices look like and how to check one
Updated · Sources
Atticus Administration is a real company, Atticus Administration, LLC, founded in 2016, that courts and government settlements appoint to send notices and pay class members; the New York Attorney General, for one, names it as the official administrator of the DoorDash tips settlement. Its texts and postcards point to case websites and phone numbers that don't match the company's own, so here is what its real notices contain and how to check yours against the case list Atticus publishes and the court record.

What its real notices and claim portals carry
In the Calderon v. Public Partnerships case in New York, Atticus reached people by email and text first: the notice plan written into the settlement agreement sets out this order: the email notice first and the text notice the same day, then a postcard within 8 days if the email could not be delivered. The postcard has a QR code that leads to the full notice Parties, filed in U.S. District Court, E.D.N.Y.checked October 1, 2026. Other cases may follow a different order; each court approves its own plan. Atticus lists text notice campaigns among its services (Our Services).
The claim or update portal on that case website asks for your Notice ID and last name Case website of Calderon v. Public Partnerships, LLCchecked October 1, 2026. The Notice ID is printed on the notice you received.
Written mail goes to a post office box, with the case name on the first line: the court-approved long-form notice in the same case gives c/o Atticus Administration, PO Box 64053, St. Paul, MN 55164 U.S. District Court, E.D.N.Y.checked October 1, 2026. The Mount Sinai data settlement uses that same box.
Phone numbers are set per case. Each case site publishes its own toll-free number Case website of Calderon v. Public Partnerships, LLCchecked October 1, 2026, so the number on your notice will not match the company's main line. Two we read: 800-485-1017 Case website of the Mount Sinai data settlementchecked October 1, 2026 for the Mount Sinai data settlement, and 1-800-270-1039 Office of the New York State Attorney Generalchecked October 1, 2026 for the New York DoorDash settlement, as the Attorney General publishes it.
Case email addresses usually sit on the Atticus domain and carry the case name, such as PublicPartnershipsSettlement@atticusadmin.com U.S. District Court, E.D.N.Y.checked October 1, 2026. Not always: the DoorDash settlement publishes info@NYDoorDashSettlement.com Office of the New York State Attorney Generalchecked October 1, 2026.
Atticus's privacy policy says the case websites it builds can be identified by a footer notation (Privacy Policy (effective February 5, 2026)). On the Public Partnerships case website the line “Website built and managed by Atticus Administration LLC.” Case website of Calderon v. Public Partnerships, LLCchecked October 1, 2026 appears in the cookie notice.
One more feature surprises people. Some Atticus postcards double as the check Atticus Administration, LLCchecked October 1, 2026. Atticus publishes a generic instruction sheet that says, on the card itself, which side is the back of the check. Its services page also covers tax paperwork (Issues IRS Forms 1099 and W-2; sets up Qualified Settlement Funds Atticus Administration, LLCchecked October 1, 2026).
Why people doubt an Atticus notice
The link is not on the Atticus website. Nearly every current case runs on its own domain: the Atticus case list holds 129 links to case websites on 127 distinct domains Atticus Administration, LLCchecked October 1, 2026, none of them on the company's domain. The exception runs the other way. Some old cases have a documents page on atticusadmin.com itself Atticus Administration, LLCchecked October 1, 2026.
The phone number is not the main number. The company's own line is 1-844-728-8428; each case has its own toll-free number, as shown above.
A text message about a settlement. A text about money can look like a scam. In the Public Partnerships plan the court approved a text notice sent the same day as the email.
A postcard that is also a check, or a postcard with a QR code. Both are features Atticus uses. Neither proves anything alone, in either direction.
Addresses and names that do not quite match. The Atticus website gives 1295 Northland Drive, Suite 300, St. Paul, MN 55120; the letterhead on a letter Atticus filed in court reads differently (1295 Northland Drive STE 160 on a July 6, 2026 court exhibit Atticus Administration, LLC, filed in U.S. District Court, E.D.N.Y.checked October 1, 2026); and its own press release of April 8, 2026 was issued from Mendota Heights, MN. That release announced a strategic investment and two new co-chief executives. The co-founders remain involved full-time during the transition, the release adds. On August 17, 2026 Atticus Administration, LLCchecked October 1, 2026, its news page marked 10 years in business.
How to check a notice against the Atticus case list
- From your notice, write down the case name, the court, the case number, the website address and your Notice ID.
- Type the Atticus address yourself and open its case list (Class Action Cases). The page notes that its active links lead to the case websites. Use your browser's find-in-page to search for a word from the case name or the defendant's name.
- If the case is there, compare the address the list links to with the address on your notice, letter by letter.
- Keep one limit in mind. The list also covers earlier cases worked by team members Atticus Administration, LLCchecked October 1, 2026. A case on the list is not, by itself, proof that Atticus runs it today, and a case missing from it proves nothing either. The court order that approved the notice names the administrator; our case lookup guide explains how to find it.
- On the case website, look for the Atticus line described above. It is a sign, not proof: the court record is the confirmation.
- To reach Atticus itself, use its own contact page: 1-844-728-8428 or info@atticusadmin.com, not a number taken from the message.
Documented incidents and fact-checks
The records read on hold no documented case of someone impersonating Atticus and no published fact-check of an Atticus notice. The closest official item is the New York Attorney General's DoorDash page, where Atticus Administration LLC is named as official administrator Office of the New York State Attorney Generalchecked October 1, 2026; the page also carries a general scam alert: "Scammers can fake phone numbers, caller ID, and email addresses to appear to come from a legitimate source." That alert is not about any reported fake Atticus message.
What an Atticus portal asks for
We found no Atticus page about fraud or about recognizing its notices. Its own portal shows what it does ask for: the Notice ID and your last name. If a message asks for more than that, compare the request with our notice-checking page.
